Leadership: Firm’s Partners

Greer Stafford currently has cooperative procurement contracts with New Mexico’s Cooperative Educational Services (CES) for both architectural services and educational planning services and with High Plains Regional Education Cooperative (HPREC) for architectural services.

If you represent a New Mexico college, university, public school district, charter school, state school, BIA institution, or municipal government, you may be able to hire Greer Stafford directly via a CES or HPREC contract instead of going through the time and expense of the RFP process.

New Mexico’s Educational Design Specialists

The educational sector is one of Greer Stafford’s primary focuses. We regularly provide architectural and facilities planning services for school districts, charter schools, private schools, and higher educational institutions throughout New Mexico and the Four Corners region.

Our aim is to design flexible learning environments that support students and teachers, while satisfying the practical requirements of maintenance, budget, and safety. We make it our business to stay informed of 21st century educational concepts, and we to listen closely to how each of our clients approaches the educational process.

Greer Stafford has been actively involved with the Public School Facilities Authority (PSFA) since the agency was established. Our staff is highly knowledgeable about New Mexico Adequacy Standards and very familiar with PSFA processes and procedures. In addition, we have established strong, effective working relationships with PSFA personnel, and we have lobbied successfully before the PSCOC on behalf of many school districts.

Cost Effective Design

Because funding for school construction is limited, we strive to achieve a high value for the cost while implementing highly durable, energy efficient and low-maintenance systems and materials. During design, we evaluate options with an eye towards providing the best value while still achieving all necessary requirements.

Construction on Active Campuses

We’re very experienced in working with school districts to devise work plans that ensure minimal disruption to school activities during the construction process. Regardless of project scope or complexity, maintaining a safe and functional learning environment on campus during construction is always our top priority.

Design for School Safety

Schools should be safe havens for students and staff. We employ CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) tactics on all of our school projects through the efforts of our on-staff Certified CPTED designer. Opportunities for crime are reduced through attention of space layout, lines of vision control, physical features intended to deter crime, and improved lock-down capabilities.
