Profile
Greer Stafford/SJCF, Inc. is a full service architecture & planning firm with a main office in Albuquerque and a satellite office in Farmington. We have worked throughout New Mexico and the Four Corners region for more than 25 years, providing responsive service and high-quality, cost-effective design. Our project experience encompasses a wide range of scopes and includes design of educational, government/municipal, recreational, religious, and community-use facilities.
Staff
With staff of more than 25 employees in two New Mexico offices, including 8 licensed architects, our firm has the capacity to handle even the largest of projects, yet we remain small enough that we still provide attentive, personalized service.
Service Area
Our firm regularly works throughout the state of New Mexico and the Four Corners region and beyond. We have proven our ability to manage projects and provide quality service anywhere in New Mexico. Many of our architects, project managers and construction administrators travel to areas throughout the state on weekly basis.
History
Our roots in New Mexico go back to 1971, when our firm’s founder, John Greer, began providing master planning and design services for San Juan College in Farmington (then a branch of New Mexico State University). Then a senior partner at the Wichita-based Schaefer Johnson Cox Frey (SJCF Architecture), Mr. Greer continued working with the College on subsequent projects over the next few decades. He began a similar on-going relationship with Santa Fe Community College in 1984.
In 1987, Mr. Greer, in conjunction with SJCF, opened the Albuquerque office with the mission of providing professional architectural and planning services to educational clients throughout New Mexico. In 1989, he was joined by Scott Stafford, who was also a partner at SJCF.
In 1993 we opened a second office in Farmington in order to provide our Four Corners area clients with local construction management services.
We have since expanded our New Mexico operation to include more than 25 professionals in the two offices to cover the needs of our clients throughout the state. We continue to serve New Mexico’s public educational clients while expanding our practice to include private educational, religious, community and other public-sector clientele. In 2009 we established a dedicated planning department that provides facility master planning and other planning services.
Mission
We are dedicated to applying architectural quality, sound economics, strong project management, and exceptional service to every project, regardless of its scope, budget, or schedule. We recognize that each project has its own unique requirements, based on the building’s functionality, its occupant’s needs, and the environment and circumstances in which it will operate. Taking all of these requirements into account, we strive to create innovative, aesthetically-pleasing, sustainable buildings that are responsive to the site and environment, and will continue to be flexible and functional well into the future.
