Groundbreaking for the New Los Altos Swimming Pool

 In Projects

The City of Albuquerque held a groundbreaking ceremony this week for the new Los Altos Swimming Pool project. Mayor Berry, City Councilor Diane Gibson, and Director of the Parks and Recreation Department, Barbara Taylor, were all in attendance.

Because it was still in good condition, the existing 1959 swimming pool will remain. However, the 1960s-era building surrounding the pool will be replaced with a larger, more modern, and energy-efficient facility. Construction of the $5.66 million project is expected to be completed in October 2018.
