Los Duranes Community Center  |  Albuquerque, New Mexico

This recent project for the City of Albuquerque designed a new community center. The existing 1970s-era community center was nearing the end of its useful life and suffered from severe structural issues. The new Center is approximately 19,000 square feet and incorporates natural daylighting throughout.

Facilities include a fitness room, an arts and crafts studio, a computer lab, a 5,200 square foot gymnasium with near-regulation size basketball court, and a game room with folding glass doors that open up onto an adjacent patio overlooking the park. Also included are a variety of community meeting spaces, including a flexible multi-use space with operable partition that can be opened to create a large 2,200 SF function room.
