Sustainable Design
The goal of high performance, sustainable or "green" buildings is to reduce our negative impact on the environment, promote healthier indoor environments and reduce the bottom line costs of operating facilities.

While green building has become a hot topic recently, Greer Stafford has been incorporating energy-efficient, sustainable design features into our projects for many years. Examples include:

Sustainable site planning
Innovative building configurations
Rain water harvesting for irrigation
Water efficient landscaping
Renewable solar heating
Innovative wastewater technologies
Energy efficient HVAC systems
Heat recovery handling system
Climate controlled building entries
Use of rapidly renewable materials
Daylighting techniques
Motion detection lighting control
Energy Management Systems
Motion activated plumbing fixtures

LEED Certification
The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council in order to provide a set of national standards for the design and construction of green buildings.

Greer Stafford is committed to reducing the negative impact construction has on the environment. Our entire office, including support staff, continues to further its knowledge of sustainable design through LEED seminars and conferences. Our commitment is to put our knowledge to work for every client, regardless of whether LEED certification is the end goal.

With a LEED Accredited Professional on staff and experience in integrating LEED considerations into the design process, our firm is well equipped to facilitate the LEED documentation and submittal process for clients who desire a LEED certified building.
