Moriarty High School Renovations | Moriarty, New Mexico
A series of projects for Moriarty-Edgewood School transformed the high school through major demolition, renovation, and additions.
The music building was renovated and expanded with two new music studios and practice rooms. The interior of the music building was reconfigured to better serve the current needs of the school’s current music programs with more private studio space and better sound buffering between classrooms and studios. The music building also received a new roof finish and new exterior finishes.
The high school student commons area was also expanded. The interior of commons gained additional space by expanding into two adjoining classrooms. Special attention was paid to the acoustical design to help counteract the traditionally noisy space. An addition provided new food service and kitchen areas. Complete mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system upgrades were included.
