Moriarty High School Vocational Conversion | Moriarty, New Mexico
This project re-purposed a former cafeteria/classroom building and transformed it into a state-of-the-art Career & Technical Education wing. The automotive training facilities encompass approximately 6,000 SF and were designed to support dual credit for high school and community college-level classes in automotive technology. To this end, the project benefited from input from staff at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) and local automotive dealerships. Facilities included an auto shop, tool & equipment checkout, student storage, a mock parts/sales department, and classroom space. Also included in the overall 23,000 SF project was a wood shop and welding shop with support areas and a flexible, multi-use common space for all three programs.
